Privacy notice.
What we collect, why, who helps us, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Click Social operates this website, clicksocial.info. We help businesses generate enquiries through content, social media, paid advertising and customer acquisition systems.
The data controller responsible for the personal information described in this notice is Dillon Dimmock, a sole trader trading as Click Social. You can contact us about it at clicksocialuk@gmail.com.
Information we collect
If you contact us through the form on our website, we collect what you submit:
- your name
- your business name
- your email address
- your phone number (optional)
- what your business does
- a rough monthly advertising budget (optional)
- your message
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
When you visit the website, some technical information is received automatically, such as your IP address and browser details. This happens because the site is hosted by Netlify and loads fonts from Google Fonts. If you choose “Accept analytics”, Google Analytics also collects information about how you use the site.
How we use information
We use enquiry information to:
- respond to your enquiry
- talk with you as a prospective client
- understand what you need and whether we may be able to help
- provide and manage our services if you become a client
Google Analytics is optional. It only runs after you actively choose “Accept analytics”, and we use it to understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
Our lawful basis
Enquiries. When you ask us about working together, we use your information to respond and to take steps you’ve asked for before any agreement. Where that doesn’t apply, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and running our business. The exact basis can depend on the situation.
Running the website. Hosting and fonts involve basic technical information. We rely on our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure website.
Analytics. Google Analytics is based on your consent. It isn’t activated unless you choose “Accept analytics”, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Who we share information with
The website uses these service providers, which handle personal information as part of the services they provide to us:
- Netlify hosts the website and receives contact form submissions.
- Google provides Google Fonts, which the website loads for its typefaces, and Google Analytics, but only if you accept analytics.
- Google (Gmail) provides our email account, so emails you send us are held there.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
International transfers
Netlify and Google are based in the United States, and information handled by them may be processed outside the UK. You can read how each provider protects information in Netlify’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information only for as long as we reasonably need it: to deal with your enquiry, to keep sensible records of our business conversations, and to meet any legal or accounting obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it.
If you become a client, we keep the information needed to provide our services and for our business records.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that’s wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information, where applicable
- ask us to restrict how we use it, where applicable
- object to how we use it, where applicable
- ask for your information in a portable format, where applicable
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent (for example, analytics)
To use any of these rights, email clicksocialuk@gmail.com. We may need to confirm who you are before acting on a request.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first and we’ll try to put it right.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and analytics
The website works without optional analytics cookies. Google Analytics is optional and isn’t loaded until you choose “Accept analytics”.
You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings. Full details are on our Cookies page.
Updates
We may update this notice when the way we handle personal information changes. The latest version will always be on this page.
